If you're shocked, you must have been raised by wolves . . .

THE COSBY SHOW!!

Your final thoughts . . .

- Cosby, Bomba-Ye! Cosby, Bomba-Ye!

- i like them both but im gonna have to go with seinfeld...though i would say that cosby is a better family comedy where as seinfeld in a better adult comedy.

- COSBY!! - Again, I repeat I HATE SEINFELD! I can't believe these jokers let that damn show make it to the last round!

- Just to be an a$$...Seinfeld

- The Cosby Show fa sho-

- DAMN !!!! This is tough. I used to get to school late so that I could watch Cosby re-runs in the morning. But Seinfeld be keeping it real….. BOTTOMLINE…..Brooklyn is home base.

Gotta go with The Cosby Show…… Not to mention the outstanding choreography in the opening credits….HOT….LOL

- Hmm friends should have won but i'm gonna have to pick seinfeld just to shake up the result a little bit!!

- I got to go Cosby, I just bought the 1st season and I cannot wait to watch it.

- This is easy.... The Cosby Show.

Jammin' on the One, Jammin' on the One... Rrrrooobbeerrttt.

- Hate to do it to Bill, but I don't necessarily watch one of his reruns unless it is a classic. I will sit and watch Seinfeld every time it is on even though I have seen every episode a hundred times. Can't argue with a show about nothing.

- It's a tough one. I no longer watch reruns of Cosby but I always stop for a daily dose of Seinfeld. But Cosby shaped my early years and made much more of a positive impact on society. My vote goes to Cosby.

- Cosby Show. hands-down. it defined a generation. as hilarious and brilliant as seinfeld was, it didnt have the kind of societal impact that cosby show had.

in terms of comedy, i found seinfeld to be more of a collection of funny characters who happened to be in a sitcom. seinfeld had MANY brilliant moments.

the cosby show was a family. you could idenitfy with their characters, regardless of class, race. or whatever. it brought sitcoms back on the map, made NBC into a powerhouse network, and without it, seinfeld NEVER would have happened....

so, cosby and seinfeld end up tied after the first half, but the big cos goes on a personal 15-0 run to ice the game early in the second half as cos coasts to victory....

- I opened your message about 2 hrs ago. I hoped that the answer would just come to me. Now I have to really think. Cosby was the staple of my early years and Seinfeld was the staple of my post adolescent years. Same time spot I think. Cosby was the one show we religiously watched as a family. Seinfeld is a show that my family of friends religiously watched together. I've been to Tom's dinner more times than I can count. I can't imagine watching anything other than the Cosby show at it's best. On the other hand, Seinfeld-isms come up almost daily (master of ones domain, Elaine's dancing, Deloris, "Is anyone here a marine biologist?").

You know what finally puts me over? I can't remember the last time I watched a Cosby rerun. I know they are on all the time, but I would rather watch Seinfeld reruns over and over again. So that's my answer.

Seinfeld. I feel like I just sold my soul.

- Cosby Show, hands down. It launched many successful careers and spin offs (different world, cosby show on cbs, adam sandler, etc.). Plus, he owned a brownstone in bk before the yuppies did. No conest!

- The Cosby Show....I mean it changed a nation. We (a black people) were actually depicted as a functional family with successful parents. It also helped folks see positive role models in adults, Claire and Cliff, took their family through trials and tribulations of adolescence, marriage, health, school and even tackled sensitive issues of rape, teen pregnancy, health.

And damn that...the grandparents anniversary joints were the best....Rudy singing Babbbbbyyyy.

- You know, even for the final match up, I find Cosby incredibly easy to vote for. The big thing for me isn't even the fact that I myself like it so much, but the fact that it has such amazingly broad appeal. I nearly fell over one day when I walk into the living room and see my little brother, 7 years younger, laughing hysterically at the same exact talk between Cliff and Theo that someone quoted on the e-mail you just sent out. My jaw dropped. Here was my little brother, enjoying the same show I loved at his age and still love now. No one told him to watch it, he merely stumbled onto it on his own while channel surfing and he was hooked. You'd think it would be outdated after so many years but nope, not at all. Cosby to win it.

- Thanks again for a great tournament. It's always a blast.
