Current NewsWell, it's April now – I can put March in the icebox. The month lived up to its billing with 'nuff madness throughout. I was doing my best Kobe, pulling straight 45's on the wheels. And, even when it wasn't 45, it was never less than 33... I even had back-to-back 50's at Pfiff starting with Rob's birthday on Friday. I know it sounds conceited, but I'm not one of those DJ's who'll just say, "I rocked it, yo; it was off the hook" – even if it wasn't. I think about it in terms of music. And, as I was telling folks who missed it, anytime I can play Fity, Jermaine Stewart, Bob Marley, and R. Kelly in the same hour, something is going right... This month also saw a Wednesday night that will go down in history. I won't mention the club's name here, but let's just say that even though a bunch of the Knicks and Nets were in the party with me, not one of them was on my level (those of you who were there know what I'm saying – if you weren't, ask me about it; it's quite entertaining...). That night was real. But, as with all streaks, it had to come to an end. I barely made double-digits on Thursday and Saturday last week. Just had no more wind in me. Hey, just keeps me grounded... But, now it's April. April, April, April!! I love this month. Why? Give you a hint: What starts with "My" and ends with "Birfday"?... Give up?... Haha!! That's right – Friday, April 11th, we're going to set it off at Namaskaar! I hope you all can come out so I can say thanks for supporting me through another year of my life. Always means a lot to have my people around me, so try if you can. And, no – even though the smoking ban is in place, Jalen a.k.a. Lil' Moochie will not be at this birthday... He bite too much... Happy Birthdays to Dom, April, Gino, Josh, Noni, Alewa, Shauna, Kim La Boom Boom, JoRae, Q, Tammy, and all the April heads I missed. Thanks for the positive feedback on "Who Can Get Busy?
