I know you were all checking the site like, "Damn, when is the new Current News going up? It's a week late!" Don't go over the edge just yet, it's here. Forgive me – just been crazy in the world of Van Vader. (Am I allowed to speak in the third person yet?)
Went to my high school reunion last month. Wild. Have to big up all the friends I was able to re-connect with after all these years. And, yes, Cass – we do still look the same... Worked for Black Diamonds at Lotus and again at Tiki Room – as well as GFC and Soleil at Remedy and Chateau. Cool vibes all around... Halloween was at Scopa this year. People were looking scary. Some were even in costumes. I didn't dress up, if you were wondering. I was going to be MacGuyver, but I couldn't find a mullet that fit right... On the 30th, one of the real good guys in hip-hop, Jam Master Jay was killed. My thoughts go out to all those affected. Can't tell you how many times I altered Run DMC lyrics to "Jam Master Vaid." He will be missed...
Thanksgiving is coming up – hope you get to enjoy that time with family, if that's what you do. More importantly, it means the end of the year is upon us. Meaning? Two things: holiday shopping and New Year's Eve! Now, in terms of New Year's, things are in the works right now; I will let you know as soon as we solidify something. Concerning shopping, one thought keeps coming to me: how excited would your friends and family be if they got Van Vader t-shirts as gifts?! Exactly. I know you hadn't thought about it, but it is an easy and affordable way to get your sister or cousin a something unique for the holidays. Send it off to the relatives in Guam so they can be the only ones in the country with a one-of-a-kind shirt (as far as everyone else in the country knows)... For real, do give it some thought... Jalen has started yelling at Jazz lately. He is the funniest little kid. Told me this weekend that he loves the Knicks, but can't stand watching them right now. Can't figure him out. Nor can I figure out why he wants to move to Orlando. Hm, oh, well... I'll keep you posted on all the happenings in my world. Please give me a shout if you want to come out, want to purchase something, or just want to say hey.
